PING!
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
Well, there wasn't any real competition. ;)
does mac have cad sw?
Geez, 2007 isn't a day old and we have Best of 2007 awards already. Guess the next 364 days will be boring for computer manufacturers :-)
Yes - Architosh, More CAD software for Macs.
It has its own CAD software as well as running all the Windows CAD software through Boot Camp, Parallels Workstatin, Crossover Mac or VMWare. In addition, it will run all LINUX and UNIX CAD software.
Well, it looks like I'm soon going to become a proud owner of a MacBook Pro. My insurance company will be buying me a new one.
Satuday morning about 10AM, the Swordmaker family was heading out the door to visit relatives about 75 miles away. I went to put some presents in the trunk of my Chrysler 300 and found the trunk already open!
Sometime during the night or early morning, had punched out the lock and opened the trunk and stole my toolkit (damn, never even used it) and my seven year old Mac PowerBook Lombard (Bronze keyboard), its leather case, and all the accessories. (Bleep! - Deleted, Expurgated, Censored)
Since I have replacement value on my insurance policy, it looks like my homeowners' policy will buy a brand new MacBook Pro for me to replace it. All I have to pay is the deductible.
Funny thing. The insurance company bought the stolen one for me seven years ago. It replaced a Mac 150 notebook I bought at a garage sale for $10 because it wasn't working. I found the problem was a dead hard drive and put a $60 hard drive in it and it worked fine... then IT got stolen in a house burglary. The insurance company bought me the $2500 top of the line Mac Powerbook to replace my $70 garage sale special.
WOW,thanks

This is a good news/bad news story. Hopefully, you had all your important stuff backed up on another HD..... Congrats on the new MB Pro. Are you going to wait until after MWSF to see if anything new comes out?
That I am... it would be foolish to buy right now.
I'm posting using a MacBook Pro right now, in Times Square's Westin Hotel lobby on their wi-fi. What a pleasure to be back on a Mac!
